Medicare Supplemental Plan
Medigap - Medicare supplement insurance is sold by private insurance companies to fill “gaps” in Original Medicare. Medigap policies only work with Original Medicare. (A Medicare Advantage Plan is not a Medigap policy.) Paramount Medigap Plans are available to persons who are ages 65 or older and who permanently reside in the state of Ohio. You must also be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Persons must also meet the medical underwriting criteria for enrollment unless you are in the initial open enrollment period for Medicare
Select - Paramount Select is virtually the same as Paramount Medigap with the exception that members must receive hospital services at a network facility. Paramount Select Plans are available to Medicare beneficiaries living in Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Seneca, or Wood Counties in Ohio, age 65 or older, and who are eligible for and enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Persons must also meet the medical underwriting criteria for enrollment unless you are in the initial open enrollment period for Medicare.
